Golf is a precision club and ball sport, in which competing players (or golfers) use many types of clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a golf course using the fewest number of strokes. The game is played on golf courses, each of which features a unique design, although courses typically consist of either 9 or 18 holes.

Our season starts in June and goes until mid-August. Area competition is  mid-July and the State Competition is mid-August. Practices occur on Tuesday nights at Island View Golf Club. Uniform is a collared shirt and closed shoes.

Two of our athletes have been at Nationals!  One of our athletes is proud to have birdied a hole!

Individual Skills

Individual skills competition provide meaningful competition for athletes who are new to the game, allowing them to train and compete in basic golf skills.

Individual and Unified

Athletes must have a certain score in an individual skills test before they are able to move on from individual skills to playing 3 or 9 holes. Both are offered individually or with a Unified Partner.
